The 30th Annual Convention of the Confederation of Canadian Unions will be held at the Coast Victoria Hotel & Marina by APA in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia, October 17 & 18, 2021. Labour School will be Saturday, October 16, and the NEB meeting will be October 19, 2021
Registration/Check-in will take place on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 7:00pm – 9:30pm in the Fairfield room.
The Resolutions Committee meeting will start at 9:15am in the Fairfield Room on Saturday, October 16th.

The Labour School will start at the Coast Hotel on Saturday, October 16, 2021. Details regarding this will be sent out shortly.
There will be a “Gala” Dinner for all attendees on Sunday, October 17th at 6:00pm in the Ballroom of the Coast Hotel. (There may be an additional charge of $60 for guests) Please let Scarlett Farquhar know if you have any food allergies/intolerances.
The National Executive Board will meet in the Ballroom at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021.
Featuring Keynote Speaker Jan Noster
Jan Noster is President Emeritus of the Construction Maintenance and Allied Workers Canada Union (CMAW).
Jan has held almost every position possible in the Canadian Labour movement, including Director of Organizing, Chairman of the Board of the CMAW Benefit plan, and delegate to the Canadian Building Trades Union (AFL-CIO). He did a stint as an Executive Board member of the Communication, Energy and Paperworkers (CEP) union and was Director of Fraser-Cascade Community Forest, just to name a few positions over the past 27 years.
A proponent of life-long learning, Jan is a Red-Seal Journeyman Carpenter by trade and holds the designation of Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR), along with Masters of Trust Management Standards (MTMS). Jan is also an Alumni of the Governor Generals Canadian Conference board.
Jan is proudly a life-long union and social activist, and a veteran of many CCU conventions. He is married and lives on the Yale First Nations Reserve with his wife Elsie, his son Peter and two Bouvier des Flanders, Juniper and Tuesday, in Hope, British Columbia.
Jan is also a grinder, a professional troublemaker and a closer. He is also thoroughly fascinated by small, shiny objects.

The group code CVH-GFC11171 (or Confederation of Canadian Unions) must be quoted when calling in. Cut-off date is Tuesday, September 14, 2021 to guarantee this rate. (NO extensions will be permitted)
Reminder: The CCU will be paying for 5 days of rooms (at the $139 rate) from Friday to Tuesday for Delegates only (does not include alternates or guests). Delegates who want to upgrade their rooms can do so at their own expense (as well as for incidentals).
The Coast Victoria Hotel & Marina rooms will be available 3 days pre/post Convention (based on availability) and paid for by the delegate/affiliate.
Please must either call the hotel directly or use the link provided (see above) and let them know that you are reserving a room under the block for the “Confederation of Canadian Unions”. Unreserved rooms will be released to the general public on September 14, 2021.
Attached to this letter is the Delegate/Credentials form for Convention 2021. Please fill out with your delegates names who will be attending in Victoria. Please indicate which one of your delegates will be the person sitting on the Resolutions Committee for Saturday, October 16.
If you are expecting to have guests attend, please let us know.

You can then send your delegate fees by cheque in the mail before the start of Convention, or bring with your Delegate(s) to Victoria.
