In October 2022, the Confederation of Canadian Unions (CCU) held its Labour School in Vancouver, British Columbia. Katrina Miller from Canadians for Tax Fairness spoke about how a more progressive taxation system in Canada could help properly fund important social programs like health care and education, pay down government debt, reduce the political power of the very wealthy, and bring down high levels of inequality.

Miller also spoke about some of the myths about taxes in Canada, options on how to going about creating a more fair, progressive taxation system, cracking down on tax dodging and tax havens by the super rich, and strategies on raising awareness and winning the debate at the political level, all defended by a range of facts and figures.
