On Saturday, March 3, the CCU Labour School will take place in Toronto, and on the agenda at 9 am is a presentation by former CCU President, Joanie Cameron Pritchett, on the issue of sexual violence. Pritchett is currently the manager of the sexual violence response office at York University, and her presentation will discuss intersectionality and how it applies to sexual violence.
It will also cover legislative changes for addressing workplace violence in Ontario, as well as the key role unions play in addressing the issue of sexual violence. Pritchett will also discuss the #MeToo movement and where we go from here.
