Background
Black unionized workers in the Federal Public Service have filed a class action lawsuit to address and confront longstanding systemic discrimination within Canada’s federal public service. The BCAS has taken the federal government to court to prove that system anti-Black racism has prevented many Black workers from advancing in the workplace. The lawsuit seeks compensation for black workers that were subject to discrimination over the past 30 years. The result of this lawsuit will have broad implications for all workers, particularly unionized workers in public service roles. Learn more at: https://youtu.be/PaPedBAVxDE?feature=shared
