The Confederation of Canadian Unions recently received a thank you letter from Canada Without Poverty (CWP), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to eradicating poverty in Canada and educating Canadians about the link between poverty and human rights. The CCU supports Canada Without Poverty with donations on an annual basis.
As Canada Without Poverty Project Coordinator Alexandra Zannis stated: “Your contribution to CWP will educate and engage people across the country about the realities of poverty and help us put our country’s human rights obligations at the forefront of anti-poverty work… Partnerships with our friends in the labour movement is vital for the success of our work. Thank you again for your support for ending poverty in Canada.”
