A new documentary on the Confederation of Canadian Unions will be available this Canada Day, July 1st. Named “The Voice for Independent Unions in Canada,” the 49-minute documentary is produced by past CCU president Joanie Cameron Pritchett and directed and edited by Sean Cain.
The documentary will be applied to over 40 different independent film festivals throughout Canada and the world during the next year, including the Canadian Labour International Film Festival and the Toronto Hot Docs Festival.
The documentary focuses on the founding and history of the Confederation of Canadian Unions, its struggle for workers’ rights and social justice, its commitment to workers and independent unions in Canada, and its positive outlook for the future.
