Larry Haiven is professor emeritus in labour relations at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and is a founding member of Equity Watch.

Larry spoke at the Labour School of the October 2023 convention of the Confederation of Canadian Unions, the largest association of independent labour unions in the country.

He talked about the decades long attacks against workers and labour unions by governments and Big Business, and discussed the challenges unions face today with bargaining, fighting government cutbacks, and how stewards handle workers’ and human rights cases at work.
